a few days ago, the onshore sit of two subsea pipeline end terminations (plets) for lufeng oilfields project was completed in zhuhai yard, marking the smooth transition of the project from onshore testing of subsea equipment to offshore installation of subsea production systems.
the two plets have been independently designed by cooec. the weight of each plet is 70 tons. among the subsea equipment on similar projects in china, these two plets fall within the category of large subsea equipment. the onshore sit was performed to simulate the actual underwater operations in an all-round way, check the results of design and construction, and verify the feasibility of underwater operations, thus laying a solid foundation for offshore installation.
